Rummel Mattresses at the IMM Cologne 2014

For the fourth time in a row, Projektpilot implements the stand concept for Rummel at the International Furnishing Show in Cologne 2014. According to this year’s motto “Turn night into day” the manufacturer of mattresses presents his product novelties to the visitors.

Black textile ribbons trapped in sail-shaped frames hang down from the ceiling to the floor and decorate the fair appearance’s outer shell. Single colourful textile ribbons are mixed  into the black ones serving as strong colour accents  and as a symbol for daytime. The black sails serve as a spatial delimitation inside the stand and optically separate the product area from the communication area. The central communication area in the stand’s centre is accentuated with highlights in bright colours, thus creating a club atmosphere: Colourful seating accommodation offers visitors the possibility to rest and linger in the lounge feeling area. A showcase next to it depicts the silhouette of an illuminated town at night. It serves as the link to the topic. The light concept in the communication area makes the stand’s motto “Turn night into day” tangible by means of a light sculpture consisting of lamps in changing colours. The surrounding product area, in contrast, is illuminated with white light. As a general entrepreneur, Projektpilot does not only take care of assembly, storage and logistics concerning the fair appearance, it is also responsible for the smooth implementation and arrangement of new fair topics.
